Dollar Store pumpkin makeover

IT IS ALMOST FALL!!!

I’m not a big fan of Halloween, but I love fall. It’s my favorite season. The weather is amazing, the fall foods are amazing, the decorations are amazing! And speaking of decorations, I needed some!

I took a quick trip to a local dollar store on one of my days off this week and I hit the jackpot. Who said crafting had to be expensive? Not me!

I found these adorable foam pumpkins and had to grab a few. So cute, right?

I decided to make them a little bit more autumn-y and a little less Halloween-y.

I grabbed pages I’d cut out of an old dictionary a while ago to Mod Podge them to one of the pumpkins.

I placed a layer of Mod Podge onto the pumpkin before placing a strip of paper on top. Then, I put of lay of Mod Podge on top of the paper strip.

Once the pumpkin was entirely covered in paper, I let it dry for a few hours. When I came back, I added a few embellishments: Mod Podged ribbons down the curves of the pumpkin, two red leaves at the stem, a little gray paint at the stem, and a bow.

Voila!

One pumpkin down, two to go. Check back tomorrow to see what I did with the remaining pumpkins!
