Awesome weekend, scary week

This weekend was so much fun. I cleaned my craft room Friday evening and it looks so much better. I also rearranged some furniture, moving my comfy red chair into our office so it looks more cozy and den-like. Rem likes it already. Can you say “spoiled?”

On Saturday, I hung out with my mom at the mall. We shopped for a dress for my step brother’s wedding in October and a few other things (*cough cough* shoes *cough cough*). I bought a SWEET Ravens hat that the hubby is totally jealous of. Then we had a delicious dinner of homemade taco soup. I’ll have to share that recipe with you all soon. It is so yummy!

Saturday evening we went to our neighbors’ house to play Monopoly. I hate Monopoly. It never ends. Ever. BUT, with a few extra rules to the game, we played the game in about an hour and a half. ANDDDD, I was a total boss and won the game. By the end of it, I owned all of the property. That has never happened to me and it will never happen again, but it was awesome. I attribute my win to my smack talk and my Ravens hat. Check me out, Imma Monopoly Boss.

I had to wear my Ravens hat next door because they are Steelers fans. That is CRAY! Brian swore he wouldn’t buy a house next door to Stealers fans. Guess it’s not all bad 🙂

Sunday we had the neighbors over to our place to watch the Redskins play the Saints. I don’t care about either team, but I am glad the Redskins won because they have a sweet fight song. “Hail to the Redskins, hail victory…” That’s all I know, but I like it haha.

Anyway… this week is going to be rough. I had a dentist appointment this morning — the first in a year and a half. Ugh. I hate the dentist. Nothing good ever comes from it. Ever. I have two cavities and a million other shadows to watch for. At least my teeth are pretty, even if they get cavities a lot. Meh.

Then on Wednesday I have an orthopedist appointment to get these cranky wrists checked out. It’s about time I went to figure out what’s wrong with my wrists, but a doctor’s appointment is a doctor’s appointment. Plus, I’m nervous about what they doctor will say. But if it ends with a solution to my cranky wrists, I guess that’s good. Still, nothing to really look forward to.

Luckily, I see Springsteen on Friday in Washington, D.C. — the beacon of awesomeness to get me through the work week and a week of crummy appointments.

Oh, and I’m off for a 5-day weekend. I guess this week won’t be so bad after all!

Happy Monday!
