Craft Projects

Vote for me!

Hey guys,

I entered this fun contest and was hoping you might take a second to cast a vote my way!

I entered the Craftgawker X Whimseybox Challengeย with my DIY Wind Chime Project from earlier this week. All you have to do to vote for my project is click HERE, then click the heart in the bottom right corner of my entry. It’s as easy as that! The 10 entries with the most “favorites” move on to the finals!

If you have a hot second to spare, I’d love the voting love!

And the winners are…

At our holiday party on Friday the Dean announced winners for the school-wide door decorating contest.

Guess who won!?

We did! We took home second place for our awesome Charlie Brown Christmas doors to our suite. Go MarComm!!

I also tied for third for the individual door contest and my buddy John won first for his fireplace door. Our group is just too creative for words ๐Ÿ™‚

Congrats, John!

Happy Monday and happy last week of work before the holidays! Woot!

More fierce competition with the door contest

Holy cow are people at work being creative this year! I have to say that is no way I am winning this door decorating contest. My coworkers are so creative and talented!! Check out some of these other fun doors they’ve decorated.

I think Monica’s is my favorite. She’s go my vote for the contest! Look at her roof with snow on it!! Love it.

Rebecca drew all of hers and it is so pretty. I really like that it is only in black and white.

And then there is John’s door with his 3D fire place. And, believe it or not, there are two 3D fireplaces in the competition this year. I don’t have a picture of the other one, but it is equally as awesome.

Speaking of creativity… there is also a contest for best decorated suite door. Here’s what we came up with.

Isn’t it adorable? It took hours, but almost our whole team was able to come together to work on it. Carrie drew Snoopy and Charlie Brown, and they are amazing. I also think the tree is freaking amazing. It even has a real ornament on it. Way to go, Amy and Rachel!

It’s a fun time to work at the Smith School, that’s for sure. I love getting to do fun stuff like this with my coworkers. They are the best.
